Emergency Broadband Benefit

The Emergency Broadband Benefit is an FCC program to help families and households struggling to afford internet service during the COVID-19 pandemic. This new benefit will start enrolling households on May 12th. The program offers temporary discounts of up to $50 per month ($75 on Tribal Land) off of eligible household’s internet access bills. Some households may also get discounts on a laptop, desktop, or tablet computer.

Anson Fire Department Spaghetti Feed!

Join us April 24th for the Anson Fire Department Spaghetti Feed!

Delicious spaghetti dinner being served from 4:00-8:00p.m. at the town hall for dine-in, carry out or drive-through.

Also stop by the fire station for camaraderie, beverages & raffles!

Road Right-of-way Notice

Please keep the road right-of-way clear of vehicles, driveway markers, etc. to allow room for snowplowing. Road right-of-way is 30′ from the center of the road.

Upcoming Bridge Closures:

  • CTH S Bridge over Lake Wissota (at The Edge Restaurant)
  • Bridge opened 
  • CTH Y Bridge over Chippewa River in Jim Falls
  • Monday August 12th this bridge will be closed to all traffic.
  • Bridge expected to be closed for 2-3 weeks for repairs.

Snow Plowing Season!

REMINDER to keep the road right of way clear of vehicles, markers, etc. to decrease the chance of damage. The road right of way is 33′ from the center of the road & the plows need this space to remove the snow from the roadway.
