The Anson Volunteer Fire Department was formed in 1964 and currently has 28 members, which includes 16 members that are also First Responder or EMT Certified. The entire Anson Township is provided paramedic ambulance service from the Chippewa Falls Fire & Emergency Services, working directly with the Anson First Responders & EMTs. Anson Volunteer Firefighters hold monthly meeting and training sessions along with additional training throughout the year to improve techniques & gain knowledge on new equipment & technology. Burn Permits:  Burn Permits are required when there is not adequate snow cover. Click on the link below & follow the instructions on the burn permit. If you have any questions, please call Chairman Gary Lazarz (715)382-4397. For residents who live North of Highway S (Highway S East of Jim Falls and on the North side of the road), this is in the DNR fire protection area, you will need to obtain your permit through the DNR website at http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/forestfire/permits.html. A sample DNR permit is attached for reference.
