REMINDER to keep the road right of way clear of vehicles, markers, etc. to decrease the chance of damage. The road right of way is 33′ from the center of the road & the plows need this space to remove the snow from the roadway.

Items NOT accepted: Stumps, non-clean lumber (ie. nails, staples, etc.)

The Anson Volunteer Fire Department was recently reviewed by the Insurance Service Office (ISO). The ISO provides a Public Protection Classification (PPC) rating for more than 45,000 fire districts nationwide. Fire departments are monitored & examined closely and rated based on considerations like fire department call times, how long it takes them to reach areas, coverage area size, water pressure, extent of hydrants and fire & rescue training. We are happy to announce our improved rating of 6-10! This new PPC (ISO Rating) could affect your insurance rates. Contact your insurance agent to see if you qualify for a lower rate.
